tamara s.: Married to a good man, mama-to-be, dog parent to the lovely Lola, and co-owner of a little 1920's bungalow in the Midwest. Avid reader, writer, and maker of things. Living it up, Midwest style (for now), and learning to take it one day at a time. In my daydreams I live on a very small hobby farm in the Pacific Northwest, where we have chickens, fresh tomatoes, homemade bread, and a couple of alpacas, and where I spin wool, grow food for our family, and have a writer's cottage. In the meantime, I am learning to live fully in the moment. Thanks for stopping by!

Rotating Quote

“When despair for the world grows in me and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be, I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.”
