i've daydreamed about this...

Kevin and I love watching PBS shows. On Saturday mornings, we watch Rick Bayless cook up delicious Mexican food, and then we follow Rick Steves on his many travel adventures. On weekday nights, we like to catch an episode or two of our favorite British comedy about septugenarians, "As Time Goes By." And I, of course, love all of the Masterpiece Theater shows that turn classic novels into miniseries (we most recently got lost in the moorish world of Thomas Hardy's Tess of D'Urbervilles. There's also been Oliver Twist, and and excellent version of Wuthering Heights).

Tonight, after a nice dinner of salmon, asparagus, and whole wheat couscous, I settled down on the couch with a glass of wine to watch a deeeelightful British miniseries about a girl who goes back in time - right into the Bennet household and the entire Pride and Prejudice story! The series is called "Lost In Austen," and it was like watching my many daydreams about stepping in an Austen story, come to life. Loved it!
