is it spring yet?

Took a bit of a break from blogging after getting my wisdom teeth out (which went beautifully, and thank you to all of you who asked) and now I'm back for a quick update on the past week and a half. It's been cold this week and we find that we are VERY much looking forward to the spring. It's supposed to be 50 degrees this weekend and we're positively ecstatic - just like a couple of giggly little kids waiting to go out and play.

Kevin has been understandably over-excited about daylight savings as it means that he now leaves the house when it's light and comes home with a few hours of light still left in the day. Poor guy was leaving for work before dawn and coming home in the dark for a few months, and I think all that lack of sunshine was really starting to wear on him. For a while there he would just come home, curl up on the floor - a pitiful little ball of pasty skin - and whimper softly to himself. It was too sad. Thank goodness for the artificial manipulation of time!

I am absurdly busy with school these days, but I will try to be a bit more consistent with my blogging (my, but you people are demanding). In the meantime, here are some pictures from an outing we took to Minnehaha Falls a couple of weeks ago on a lovely, and very welcome, sunny day. You know you're getting to be a season-hardened Minnesotan when it's 30 degrees outside and you're out with the rest of the city enjoying the "warm" weather. Good grief.
