Thanks to my lovely cousin, Dominic, who is a very savvy New Yorker, Kevin and I found an airport shuttle that took us all the way from the Upper East Side to JFK for only $15 a person. We were picked up at Molly and Patrick's apartment at 9:15 this morning and were at the airport by 9:45; SO much more convenient than taking the subway!
Our flight doesn't leave until 1:50 pm, so we've got a bit of time to kill here at our gate. Kev is working on a Sudoku puzzle (I got him addicted on the flight over here), and I'm working up the motivation to get some homework done (if I can resist watching the latest episode of The Office online).
We had a great time on our NY trip - seeing Jarom, the Shulmans, Molly, Patrick, Dominic, Kate, Leo, Alison, and John, hiking in Ithaca, hanging out at the Chapter House, eating great food, taking a trip to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, exploring Battery Park, finding cool art in Central Park, luxuriating at the Hudson Hotel, sitting on the steps of the Met eating a NY hotdog, walking miles and miles around the city - it was wonderful! I'll post pictures sometime later this week.
Hey Tammy,
ReplyDeleteToo bad we didn't get to see you in New York! Hope you had a great time.
