happy birthday, sister

Mel, you are 25 today! That means it's time for our annual month of twindom. I remember when we were kids and we loved to stump our friends by telling them "We're sisters, we're the same age, and we're not twins." "Impossible," they would say. Um, no. We were born 11 months apart.

We've been sisters for 24 years and 1 month now, and friends for a good chunk of that, and I am so thankful to have your loving, creative, beautiful self in my life. I love you and I hope 25 is a joyful, delightful, happy, healthy, and lovely year for you.
